TTPCU Group Health Plan

Dear Valued Member,

We are excited to announce that the annual review of our Group Health Plan has been completed, and we have some important changes to share with you. These changes will apply to all coverage types and are necessary to ensure the long-term sustainability of our health plan, access to even greater savings, convenience, and preservation of the best-in-class benefits that our members enjoy.

One of the most significant changes is the new premiums for the Group Health Plan. The revision to premiums will provide you with even better coverage and benefits including the introduction of the Genesis Medical Provider Network.

The Genesis Medical Provider Network offers members of the health plan access to over 360 quality health care institutions and providers nationwide. The advantages of this additional benefit include fewer out-of-pocket costs and less paperwork as members will now access services at the provider, pay their co pay and deductible and sign the claim form.

The provider will then submit the claim form for settlement by the insurer. This therefore removes the need for members to submit claim forms to PCU for settlement. With this upgrade to the PCU Health Plan, you will now pay your portion of the bill ONLY and not the full 100% as currently required. Members would therefore not need to make any claims unless the provider is not registered with the network.

Services from providers outside of the network will continue under the existing system for claims and reimbursement.

New premiums will be payable from the end of May 2023, and for members who service their insurance premiums via payroll allocation or standing order, we recommend:

  • Immediately amending the allocation of your payroll if there are surplus funds going to your Deposit Savings Account or
  • Increasing your payroll deduction or
  • Visiting your bank to amend your standing order assigned to PCU or
  • Visiting your branch to pay the additional funds at the teller

Amendments to payroll deductions can be delayed for up to 30 days, depending on the processing times at various organisations, so we strongly recommend visiting a branch to deposit the difference onto your Insurance Account, until the new amount is deducted from your salary or standing order.

Please take a moment to view the premiums due for each coverage group below, as well as the adjustments made to the benefits offered under the plan. We have also provided a link to our FAQs to help answer any questions you may have.

PCU works closely with our brokers, Genesis Insurance Brokers & Benefits Consultants Ltd. to add value to the plan through enhanced benefits, superior value for the price and improved service.

Thank you for being a valued member of PCU’s Group Health Plan. If you have any questions or concerns, please email your queries to [email protected] or contact us at 612-4728 ext. 1010.
